Marc Short ’92, Practitioner Senior Fellow, Miller Center at UVA, will give a public talk as part of the Washington Term Speaker Series on Wed., Feb. 6 from 7-8 p.m. in Hillel 101.
Short served as White House director of legislative and intergovernmental affairs and assistant to President Donald J. Trump until July, 2018.
He previously served as chief of staff to Vice President Mike Pence. His other public service included roles as a spokesman for the Department of Homeland Security; chief of staff for Republican Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison; and an aide to then-Congressman Mike Pence, who named him chief of staff for the House Republican Conference in 2009. Short has also worked for McGuire Woods Consulting and for Freedom Partners, a nonprofit, Koch-funded 501(c)(6) chamber of commerce located in Arlington, Virginia.
