Purpose
  • Reason for narrative creation is evident
    and has significant educational value

  • Narrative has some educational value, but viewer may not know the purpose of the narrative (must be inferred)
  • Narrative has no specific purpose or educational value
Organization
  • Organized/logical narrative with clear beginning, middle, and end

  • Topic and intended audience are evident

  • Viewer can follow along easily and understand content

  • Topic unclear until entire narrative is explored

  • Viewer may have a hard time following along and understanding content

  • Intended audience unclear (must be inferred)

  • Narrative not organized in logical manner and viewer cannot follow along

  • Topic not evident even after entire narrative is explored

  • Intended audience cannot be determined

Mechanics
  • Written text contains minimal misspellings and/or grammatical errors
  • Narrative contains multiple misspellings and/or grammatical errors
  • Narrative contains significant number of misspellings and/or grammatical errors
Multimedia ElementsContains at least two of the following elements:
  1. moving or still pictures
  2. graphics
  3. audio files
  4. interactive data
Multimedia elements significantly improve the narrative
Contains only one of the following elements:
  1. moving or still pictures
  2. graphics
  3. audio files
  4. interactive data
Multimedia element interferes with narrative and should be edited/cut
Contains none of the following elements:
  1. moving or still pictures
  2. graphics
  3. audio files
  4. interactive data
